Who is Healthy Inspirations
Healthy Inspirations is made up of a team of passionate and dedicated people. Here are just a few of the people behind the HealthyInspirations franchise system in Australia:
Directors:
Jamie Hayes: Franchisee Support and Marketing
Ellen Hayes: Product Development and Supply
Jamie and Ellen Hayes are regarded as pioneers of the Australian fitness industry, with Ellen becoming the first instructor in NSW to receive formal accreditation and Jamie receiving the first ever Australian National Fitness Leader of the Year award.
Jamie later became a fitness educator, training instructors across Australia and Asia for The Australian Council for Health Physical Education and Recreation and was a founding executive member of the Fitness Industry Association of NSW and the NSW Fitness Advisory Council.
Together, Jamie and Ellen have been leaders in many health-related innovations including low impact aerobics, circuit training using hydraulic equipment, consumer-friendly monthly payment systems and small boutique fitness clubs appealing to 40 to 60 year olds.
They have successfully owned and operated seven health and fitness clubs. Jamie has been a speaker many times at the Filex International Fitness Convention.
As time passed, good health and weight control became their focus, which resulted in them introducing Healthy Inspirations to Australia.
For the first two years their Kenmore centre in Brisbane, Queensland, was a 'well kept secret'.
This was crucial for them to be able to tailor every aspect of the program for Australian foods and lifestyles. The Australian food journals have been revised and updated six times since, to now represent the most user-friendly, family-friendly weight loss program in the country, especially when combined with the supervised resistance exercise and one-on-one coaching that Healthy Inspirations offers.
The medical literature around the world is now supporting this combination approach as being the best way for effective lasting weight control.
To ensure that every aspect of the program was at the cutting edge of dietary science, weight loss knowledge and promoted good health, Jamie and Ellen assembled a team of three of Australia 's leading weight loss dietitians, Jill MacGregor, Matt O'Neill and Trudy Williams to oversee the program in Australia.
Our task is to work with you to see if Healthy Inspirations is right for you and if you are right for Healthy Inspirations. This is a process of mutual discovery. We want to provide you with all the information to make a good decision about the business.
Once you make that decision we have a huge range of support services and processes to help you start your business properly and to increase your chances of success.
The business does take some hard work, especially in the first year. We look for people with local knowledge and connections, and the willingness to get outside and promote their business to the local community. The other thing we look for are people who are passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and helping others achieve this as well.
We're very community minded. We care about preventive health and especially preventing childhood inactivity and obesity.
If you share some of these passions, and you are keen to work hard to create your own successful business, we look forward to working with you.
We often get asked by the male partner "What are the roles for a male within this business that services women?" The answer is simple as it depends upon where your talents and energies lie. If your have a flair for marketing, most of that happens outside the four walls of the centre. If you're a numbers guy, then somebody has to look after the accounts, banking and payroll. If your good with your hands, you can help in building the centre and keeping the centre and the equipment in ship shape order.
This business is a partnership of energies, between the franchisees, their team and us.
Please make a list of questions. We have prepared some questions for you as sometimes people simply don't know what to ask.
I look forward to meeting you on the phone, by email and in person. Call us anytime on 1300 799 669.
National Training Manager: Robyn Jordan
My role is to empower the franchisees and their teams with thorough training in the simple-to-follow sales and operations systems. Our goal is to set a high standard so that each franchisee feels confident in their ability to run a centre, and that they have a great team of well trained staff. We assume no prior knowledge with our training program, but look for people who are willing to learn and are passionate about helping women and promoting their business locally.
The training starts with the franchisee attending a full week training at another centre or in our national support office. This gives them an understanding of the qualities needed when recruiting their own team.
We then run a full week's onsite training program with the franchisee and their chosen team.
Also, we understand that team members will come and go. For this reason we provide each franchisee with an on-the-job self-paced audio training program, where the franchisee can supervise the training of new team members or the ongoing training of existing team members. Complete notes and checklists are provided for this program.
Our goal is that every participant enjoys the training and comes out feeling confident in the program and comfortable in the no-pressure marketing and sales processes.

- No foods or food groups should ever be banned from a balanced diet and or weight loss food plan.
- Eating and dining in general should always be a pleasure rather than seen as a tool for any negative purpose or experience.
