- Reduce your endorphins, or the 'happiness hormones', making you more likely to turn to comfort foods to help make you feel better
- Make it more difficult to make good choices about the frequency and type of exercise in which you participate
- Interfere with your sleep and lack of sleep may affect your hormone balance and your metabolism
