Our Joondalup weight loss centre is run by Stacy and Kylee and they're dedicated to helping you achieve the very best. Through regular, individualised monitoring and coaching you're guided along your weight loss journey during every phase of the program.

"I started with Healthy Inspirations last year. In the beginning my goal was to lose some weight. I have since found out by doing the program it not only helped me to lose weight but has also helped me in getting fitter and easing some of my aches and pains. I used to have alot of pain in my shoulders and arms. As I began doing the program I noticed the pain in those areas started to ease to the point where I now no longer have any pain at all.
When I started I had to change some of my eating habits because I like pastas and sweets, but I found those changes weren’t so difficult, as I only had to change the times I ate those things as well as the amounts. The program helped me learn how to eat the right types of foods and good exercise techniques to help give me more energy and feel good about myself.

"I actually achieved my goal weight and oh what a feeling! I feel fantastic, my friends and family are very impressed by my results, and have been a big support to me during my weight loss journey. I’m sure that secretly they have never thought I could or would succeed as I always seemed to start off with good intentions of staying on a diet but after a few weeks I would lose interest and motivation and go back to my old ways. Then one day I decided that I did not want to be fat and fifty, I wanted to be fifty and fabulous!! So I made an appointment with Healthy Inspirations and with the help and encouragement of the wonderful staff at the centre I began my quest to find a new and improved me. I had a few challenging times along the way but with the help of Bronwen and Debby in particular they kept me on track and motivated me to keep going and I would like to thank them for believing I could do it."

"January 2009 – Went shopping – disaster, nothing fitted me, gone up another size. Looked like a bag. Cried in Katies fitting room. Came home with nothing – had to wear my old baggy trousers and oversize top again. Went shopping with my mum, she held up these stretchy nylon pants in the shop, stretched them to their full extend and said very loudly – “I’m sure these will be big enough for you, they are massive” Totally embarrassed. I really do feel terrible
February 2009 – feeling tired and depressed; visited doctor. Not good news, told to lose weight. Yeah right…. I know I need to, but I can’t be bothered.
March 2009 – Went to Singapore for holiday, very excited. Wow what a place. Thought I’d treat myself to some nice new clothes – nothing bigger than a size 14 in the shops, kept trailing around, getting more and more depressed. Walking around the streets, got burns on my inner thighs from the friction - this was horrendous
Went on tri-shaw ride, the drivers didn’t want to choose me as their passenger as I was “too wide”. Feeling really bad.
April 2009 –Walked past Healthy Inspirations, stomach churning. Walked away. Turned back – it really was time. Just a few supportive words from everyone and I was on my way.
Exercise, the dirty word, don’t think I’ll ever enjoy it. Never been to a gym before, good job Carolyn explained it all to me. Don’t think I can manage the rowers or cross trainers. Just got to keep going.
Eating plan – only a few minor changes. Can I eat this much and still lose weight? My God the snacks are fantastic – are these really OK for me to eat!! Have to weigh in three times a week – I daren’t do anything wrong as my 4 guardian angels - Kylee, Stacy, Donna and Carolyn, will know straight away!!
Relaxation – the chair – 15 minutes isn’t long enough. I could get used to this!!
May 2009 – Is this really me? Here I am - eating properly, going to the gym at least 3 times a week, even starting to get enough energy to walk the dog again – went on the Million Paws Walk – walked 5 kms without stopping. Starting to feel excited, losing weight. Thank you Healthy Inspirations - you are making it fun.
June 2009 - Starting to enjoy the gym – had such a laugh. The gossip was amazing – the things I’ve learnt!!! Healthy Inspirations you are there for me when I need the motivation or just the company. Even tried out the rowing machine and surprised myself how far I could row!
July 2009 – Started dancing to the music at the gym and singing along to Abba – what a laugh. Decided to join in to some of the group activities. The first time was hard going, but I soon caught on.
August 2009 – Can’t believe it - joined the 2 month fitness challenge. Who would have thought a few months ago that I would be capable of doing this? Thankyou Healthy Inspirations for giving me the opportunity to try.
September 2009 – Only a few kilos to go now, it really hasn’t taken long. Fitness Challenge over – what an improvement, I feel quite sad – I really enjoyed it. Decide to keep on challenging myself. There’s mention of another one starting in October – think I’ll put my name down. People are starting to notice and I’m actually getting compliments.
October 2009 – GOAL – not going to stop now. Love the gym, feeling fit and healthy. Beat my daughter in a sit-up challenge and she’s half my age!!! She was so proud of me!! Everyone has now noticed. I’m now in a size 12 and can’t stop sneaking a peek at my reflection. Who would have thought 6 months ago that I would have been saying that exercise is fun – certainly not my husband or daughter. If I can do it anyone can.
Without Healthy Inspirations I wouldn’t have made it. Kylee, Stacy, Donna and Carolyn showed understanding and compassion. They gave encouragement and made me laugh. When times were a bit tough they were there for me.

"My journey with Healthy Inspirations, Joondalup began in early March 2009.
At this point I was the heaviest I have ever been. I started ‘dieting’ as a child and continued into adulthood joining every diet club and doing every weird ‘diet’ I could find. Sometimes I was successful but not for long, the weight always came back and more often than not a little more would appear. I am 160cm short and excess weight does not look great!!
2009 was a big year for me. It was the big 40!!! I didn’t want to look the way I did or feel the way I did – but – did I have enough time to make a difference? And where could I go to do this??
I drove by Healthy Inspirations in Joondalup all the time to go shopping and was always curious as to what actually went on inside. My husband was a bit apprehensive about me joining another weight loss centre. I dread to think about how much money over the years I have spent trying to find something that works (in actual fact they all probably worked but I gave up way too easily). As usual I said I would give this one a good go and not give up and as usual he agreed and guess what…………..
This one did work and 10 months later I have been very successful.
Healthy Inspirations Joondalup has given me all the support I could ever need. They provide a fantastic eating program with journal to always keep me on track and a great circuit to workout on. The staff is phenomenal – Donna, Kylee, Stacy & Carolyn (with a special mention to Bronwen who is no longer there but started me on my journey) have provided advice on food and exercise and goal setting. The one on one consultation, which started at 3 per week were absolutely invaluable. It helped keep me on track and if I had a set back at any stage they offered advice on how to correct it and stay focused on my goal. The circuit is set up to offer a fantastic workout, plenty of cardio and resistance choices and there are always classes and different challenges to keep things interesting.
By the time my birthday rolled around in May (2 months after I joined) I had lost half of my 1st goal weight. I was excited to say the least. I put on a little with all the celebrating but what was great was the fact that when I went back after the girls were there to give me advice and to get me back on track and looking towards my next goal.
This was my main goal and I reached it 8 months after I joined.
Now 10 months later. I have lost some more weight but I have gained knowledge. I am now able to ‘Get Things Back on Track’ if I have a little blow-out. Healthy Inspirations has given me the physical and emotional ‘tools’ to correct my eating and exercise habits. No longer do I just say “oh well, I messed up, this isn’t working I will give up”. I just start the next day with my new healthy habits and before you know it I am back on track and raring to go!!
So…….Thank you to Healthy Inspirations Joondalup and to all the wonderful friends I have made. With continued support from these wonderful ladies I now know that I will go on and not fall back into ‘bad’ habits. Reaching 12 months and being even fitter and healthier is now my next goal and I am really looking forward to it!!!"
