Many women today avoid “self care” for many reasons such as depression and low self-esteem. In other words, they don’t value themselves. Successful weight loss is best achieved when an individual has self-confidence, which is perhaps why obesity is one of the biggest problems today in Australia in adults, adolescents and children alike. Confronting this problem on an individual basis is not easy, because when the moment to change presents itself, thousands of excuses surface! Personally (like most women I asked), I had tried everything and again, like thousands of other women, I continued to look for answers and miracles and sometimes the promise of quick results clouded my best judgement.
Of all the weight loss techniques I have tried, I have had varying results; some have been fabulous according to the scales but have had extremely bad consequences for my health. The loss of weight was my main preoccupation without thinking about the possible health risks. I experimented with various resources but as soon as I stopped the program, I immediately started to gain back the weight. As an adult it seems I have always tried to lose weight - It has been an ever present goal and preoccupation. Today, I can tell you that I have found the healthiest and most balanced approach – At last I can tell you that I have finished my search.
Two years ago, I never would have thought that I could feel as I do today. I feel energized everyday and am enjoying all the benefits of having nine kilograms less to carry around. Healthy Inspirations has been everything for me. It has given me motivation in my life and provided me with the means to be organized and achieve goals. My fitness level was very bad when I arrived at Healthy Inspirations because I was still recovering from 2 separate abdominal surgeries – both of which specifically impacted on my gastric health by impairing my ability to digest and assimilate fat. This is why I must have a balanced and healthy diet that allows me to feel good.
Healthy Inspirations is for me, a major force of positive change and inspiration in my life. All the professional help I received at Healthy Inspirations has been very empowering and encouraging. I have always felt support from the team, which started the moment I met Emma - She is always there to answer your questions and help you achieve your goals. The same thanks must be extended to both Katie and Tina who have also been instrumental in my success. Today, being 47 years old, I feel that life has just begun.
Thank you Healthy Inspirations.

I am a 43 year old wife and mother of 4 year old twins. I had been gradually gaining a couple of kilos each year since my younger days when I was very sporty and active. My life has been very busy with full time work, looking after the family and managing a small property in the hills, and I had developed some bad eating habits, filling up on fatty and carbohydrate rich foods and missing snacks. My metabolism had taken a dive and I often felt lethargic and bloated.
My job recently moved to an office near the Healthy Inspirations branch at Frewville. I passed the branch every day, and had been thinking about popping to see what it was all about, but was a bit scared to go into a “weight loss” centre as I didn’t want to think of myself as overweight. But I was keen to do more exercise rather than sit at my desk all day. When my husband suggested I check it out, I went in during one of my lunchtime walks.
The staff were relaxed and friendly, and I liked the flexible plans that were available. Even though I planned to join as an exercise member, I decided to give the weight loss plan a go. The first week was hard, and I felt very unfit. I found social occasions tricky at first, feeling like I needed to explain why I didn’t want the potatoes or the wine, but I eventually just learned to say “no thank you” without explaining. Even over Christmas I didn’t find it too hard to stick to the plan and still managed to maintain my weight loss over the break.
As I took on new exercise and eating habits, the weight continued to drop. I soon felt better and fitter and have now lost 13 kg since November last year. And I still can’t believe all the little presents you get as rewards on the way!
The women at Healthy Inspirations were great at keeping me on track, offering lots of tips to get me through the social occasions when I knew I might have a couple of glasses of wine or a piece of birthday cake. The personal training sessions and exercise challenges also keep me interested, and I love that they make sure you use the massage chair every week!
I now feel great about my figure, have more confidence and can’t believe how much fitter and stronger I have become in such a short time. I feel more energetic, patient and calm. I also feel like I have developed healthy habits for life and can’t see myself going back. Thank you to the Healthy Inspirations team at Frewville for helping me stay young!

I was always the “skinny kid” growing up; always active & I never had an issue with my weight. I was even lucky through my 30’s that my “baby weight” came off fairly quickly & without dieting, after having my children. In fact I had never been on a diet until I started at Healthy Inspirations Frewville in late October.
After turning 40 (I am now 45) I had put on a couple of kilos each year and in the middle of 2009 I had a health scare which resulted in major abdominal surgery and ultimately a hysterectomy. All this left me with “ripped” stomach muscles (and I don’t mean in the good way!!). I continued to put on more weight post operatively and my core strength was non-existent.
My GP gave me a talking to in October 2010 and advised me that I really needed to “do something for myself” (I also suffer from depression). As my cholesterol was fairly high it was also suggested that my diet could do with an overhaul. Although I had completed a fitness instructor’s course in my 20’s I clearly had little knowledge about eating a balanced diet. I was addicted to sugar and carbs.
My starting weight was 66.7kgs and by following the Healthy Inspirations nutrition plan I have lost 9kgs in approximately 10 weeks despite a brief plateau mid way through my weight loss. My plateau was managed swiftly & effectively and I lost 1.8kgs in 5 days when Emma put me on a “plateau breaker”.
I have been on a “balance program” since I reached my goal weight which is making it very easy to maintain my ideal weight. I continue to exercise regularly & I still use the protein snacks which “save my life” as I have a huge sweet tooth and a passionate love for chocolate which I can indulge, guilt free twice a day.
I feel fantastic now, both in mind and body. My body is fit and strong and my cholesterol is back in a healthy range. All the girls at Healthy Inspirations have been so supportive, giving me encouragement and words of practiced wisdom along the way and Kathlene genuinely seemed just as thrilled as me when I weighed in at my goal weight!
Megan is back to being her old "skinny kid" self after losing 9kgs, 31.5cms & 5.7% body fat

Who in their right mind, in the middle of winter decides (finally) that it’s time to take charge to get their health, and therefore get their weight, under control?
That would be me. At 76 kilos, I was 47 and overweight with serious high blood pressure that despite medication, was not under control. My doctor’s “advice” that I was heading towards a stroke was enough to make me sit up and take notice (again, finally). My fiancé and I also had our wedding planned for May 2011, another really good incentive for losing weight and getting healthy.
With some trepidation, I approached Healthy Inspirations, advising them that really, I was a lost cause. I’m a chocoholic with no will-power and certainly did not enjoy eating salads and vegetables. Besides, I also had a fiancé, a teenage son and nine year old daughter that I still had to prepare meals for. And let’s not forget my job that whilst very rewarding, it kept me chaotically busy, was stressful and I also travelled a lot. There was just no way I was going to be able to schedule time for me. Believe me, I had all the excuses. Fortunately, the team at Healthy Inspirations managed to convince me not to give up before I’d even started! The reality was that I also knew that something had to change and I was the only one that ultimately, could make that change.
I set a goal weight of 60 kilos (not being able to remember when I had last weighed that much). On 4 August 2010 I started “the program”. Having to drive past HI each day to and from work helped –I certainly didn’t have the excuse that the centre was out of my way.
To my surprise, it didn’t take long before I started losing weight. My past track record was to “celebrate” any weight loss with food (of course), but this time, I managed to stay on track and celebrate differently – by counting down the number of kilos I was losing. A month into the program (almost to the day), as I was congratulating myself for losing 5.4 kilos, I also hit a significant “pothole”. Strike one - my fiancé called off our wedding and moved out. I was shattered, as were my two children. In the past, this type of upheaval would have seen me return to my old habits of comfort eating. However, in this instance, I wasn’t prepared to let my hard work go to waste. It was really (really) hard, but I stuck at the program and “Rocky” (boxing) got a pretty good workout for a while.
Five weeks’ later – strike two – I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck. I had been suffering with considerable pain for quite a few weeks, but had put it down to stress etc. Medication and lots of rest was prescribed. Pretty difficult when you’re a sole parent, work full time and trying to exercise regularly to lose weight and get fit! Again, the HI team were a great support. Kathlene developed a program that was low impact on my upper body so I could continue exercising whilst “resting”.
So now it’s December and despite my setbacks, I look and feel so different. I’m wearing clothes that have hung in the back of the wardrobe for years (gathering dust, literally).
Strike three was a strike “out of the park” - a positive hit and my greatest triumph so far – my recent purchase of a pair of size 10 jeans. I never dreamt I would ever get back into size 10 clothes again, particularly jeans. I still have more toning to do and a more weight to lose, but now I’ve proven to myself that I can do it, I’ve the confidence to succeed. I’ve also learnt not to “beat myself up” if I have a bad day or two. I know how to quickly get back on track.
My 2011 challenge will be to maintain my weight loss. I’m sure that with determination and the encouragement and compliments from friends, work colleagues and family, and of course the great HI team, that will be another success story.
Despite what has been a very personally challenging and difficult year, the achievement of my weight loss of 16.4 kilos and 59.5 cm’s overall (I’ve now reached my target weight) in just over four months is fantastic. Thanks to Healthy Inspirations, my health has improved, I feel and look great and my self-confidence has improved out of sight. Here’s to a brighter and successful 2011!
Robynne is relishing being 16.4kgs lighter. She has also lost 59.5cms & 13.2%bodyfat

“Hi, my name is Carol Robinson and 5 months ago I could not bend down to tie my shoe laces”
I felt depressed and was tired ALL the time. In desperation, I went to my doctor for help and she told me about a place she passed everyday on her way to work called Healthy Inspirations. She suggested I give them a call and on the strength of her recommendation, I did.
I made an appointment with Kathlene and told her how I felt and she in return told me about the program. I explained that I had been on many diets in my life and that they didn’t work because the places I had been to would set a goal weight for me and refuse to put me on a maintenance program until I reached their “goal weight” – which I never did – and so over the years I just got bigger and bigger. Kathlene told me I could set my own goals and that I could decide at which point I wanted to learn to maintain my desired weight. At this point I knew that this was the program for me and so I signed up!
At the time, I had a wedding to attend in October so my first goal was to lose 20 kilos by then. With the support of all the girls and by using the gym 3 or 4 times a week (at my own pace) I lost 19kilos and went from a size 22 – 24 to a size 16 – 18. I found the program really easy to follow and I was never hungry – in fact I ate more on the Healthy Inspirations plan than I had been eating previously.
The wedding was 3 weeks ago and I have lost a further 2.8 kilos. I feel fantastic and no longer feel depressed. I have heaps of energy and I can tie my shoe laces. My doctor has also since joined Healthy Inspirations!
My next goal is to lose another 5 kilos before my 50th birthday in December and then I plan to go on maintenance for a while to prove to myself that I can manage my weight and for the first time in my life I believe I can do it.
Thank you girls.
Carol has lost 21.8kgs & 65.5cms & is still going strong!

Until about 10 years ago I had always been very thin, no matter how much I ate or how little I exercised. Over the years though, little by little, weight crept on and instead of changing my lifestyle, I bought the next size up in clothes. Finally, it had got to the stage where I found it hard to find nice clothes and I was unbelievably unfit. I wanted to take control of my life and have the energy to enjoy it again.
I was extremely sceptical when I started, even though Healthy Inspirations was recommended to me by someone who had been there. I had never joined a weight loss program before, but I had read about hard-sell horror stories in the news and I expected a centre where the program would be difficult to follow and I was pressured to buy extras all the time. I decided to use my one-week free pass to see what they were like.
I joined Healthy Inspirations in December – two weeks before Christmas and at the end of my first visit. I met with Emma, and I was so impressed with how she kept stressing that it was all about what I wanted, and that I was in control. Emma explained the eating program, and I was so excited when I saw that it was real food and not calorie counting. Everything was about balancing what was eaten and when it was eaten. More importantly for me, it was about understanding what was going on so that it could become a way of life. I am hypoglycaemic and for the first time in my life, I have gone for 9 months without a single episode. I truly did not believe that was possible.
The exercise program was perfect for me. I had joined a gym before and found it repetitive and boring. On the circuit, I move to a new machine before I have time to get bored. I am quite often surprised when I finish because I don’t feel like I have been there all that long.
It took me 9 months to lose the weight and get back to being the size I wanted to be, and I have some great memories. I walk to the centre when I go and remember the first time I arrived without being out of breath…I think Kathleen was more excited for me than I was. I remember making it through my first class with Kathleen…I was SO sore the next day that I didn’t think I would ever move again! My first class with Katie is one I will never forget either…I just wanted to lie on the floor and die by the time it was over
I know that I am the one who has achieved the loss, but I could not have done it alone. All the staff at Frewville are wonderful, but the ones who I almost always seemed to interact with were Kathleen, Katie, and Emma. They are three very different people, but each of them has been important to me in their own way. They celebrated my success with me and helped me stick with it when I had a plateau. More than once, particularly at the beginning, it was thinking about their disappointment that would stop me from having a chocolate or something off plan.
So, as I move onto the Healthy Balance eating plan, I know that I have achieved something wonderful and that the people who helped me understand how to get there will be with me on the next phase as well. Losing the weight and staying focussed was not always easy, but I now know that I can do it. So for the rest of the journey, I say bring it on – I am ready!!
Alison is a brand new person, she lost 20 kilos, 59 cm's and 13 % body fat.

I have been a member of Healthy Inspirations Frewville for 7 months now, and how it has changed my life! I first went there in January after the good old Christmas/ New Years binges when I was feeling so fat and frumpy and knew that I had to do something to shed the kilos. I was feeling miserable in and out of clothes. My work uniform was just about splitting at the seams, and was generally feeling sluggish and tired all the time – not just from being at home with the kids!
My inspiration to lose weight was turning the big 40
I have found the last 7 months particularly easy, and haven’t felt like I was on a diet, as really it has been about changing the way I look at food and identifying my bad eating habits. I’ve also felt so supported along the way from all the staff - they’re always so encouraging and friendly it makes the whole thing enjoyable. My biggest challenge I would have to say was at the beginning – not sharing a bottle of bubbles/wine with my girlfriends (not to mention the cheeses and dips that go with!) However I’ve discovered that really it’s something I can do without simply because I now look at it and ask do I really want it and is it worth the calories! I exercise 6 – 7 days a week and can truly say that I love that part of my new life. I’ve never enjoyed going to the gym or doing classes, but now would feel lost without it. I joined with a friend, so the early morning starts are a bit easier as we go together and there’s no pulling out at the last minute! It’s also been great as we encourage each other and keep each other motivated. at the end of the year. I wanted a new start, and wanted to look and feel great for my 40th party, and not look back at photos with disgust. I’ve done it! Not only have I reached my goal so that I can look good at my party, but have the added benefit of feeling fantastic, fitting into clothes 3 – 4 dress sizes smaller and now have a healthy lifestyle.
I have to say this really has changed my life as I now eat a healthy balanced diet, and exercise regularly which none of the other myriads of diets/weight loss places have taught me – I just used to lose the weight and then whack it all back on, whereas I NOW know that I’m never going back to the old big me!
Looking amazing, Simone has lost 19.4 kilos, 64 cm's & 12.2% body fat

Years of shift work had left me with some very bad eating and exercise habits. I was regularly skipping meals, snacking on quick-fix energy loaded foods and giving in too often to that nagging sweet tooth. Even when I changed to more regular hours after having my two children, my eating patterns didn’t improve.
My weight had yo-yo’d with me trying a multitude of different diets with varying success but it was always keeping it off for the long term that was the problem. My commitment to exercise also varied greatly over time and I found that walking just wasn’t enough for weight loss or to increase my fitness levels.
I wasn’t planning on joining a gym when I walked past the Healthy Inspirations that sunny morning back in December. It was the beginning of summer, none of my clothes fitted properly; I was looking down the barrel of 50 and feeling fat, frumpy and constantly tired. When I saw the sign I remembered the wife of a colleague who had said she’d had great success with the program so I thought I would venture in and check it out.
I was greeted by the irrepressible “it’s all about you” Emma and the gorgeous Katie (decorating the Xmas tree). They were so friendly and helpful in the explanation of the program, the snacks and the regular exercise classes or circuits that I joined on the spot. Best decision I’ve ever made for my health.
I liked the simplicity of the program, being able to incorporate it into the family’s meals. I also realized that I couldn’t do it by myself. I had always been good at the short-term but I needed the guidance and encouragement of the girls to maintain my focus. Katie and Kathleen were my motivators, keeping (and getting me back) on track, giving me great ideas on how to cope with difficult eating out situations all in a practical, non judgemental way. I’d definitely like to thank them because I would not have achieved my goals without them. They have given me the tools to make good food choices, enthused and motivated me into exercising and I now feel that I can do it myself, knowing that they are there if I need a pep chat.
Initially I couldn’t believe I would lose weight by eating the amount of food on the plan. However after losing 6.6kg in the first month (which was over the Xmas period) I thought they must be onto something. The supplement snacks were also a great way for me to manage my sweet / chocolate habit.
I have become quite enthusiastic about the exercise part of the program as well. The variety of the circuit and the classes is great and I love being able to crawl out of bed and arrive at 6.15am with my bed hair, no makeup and whatever clothes I’ve thrown on and not feel out of place. My initial exercise goal was to survive one of Katie’s Saturday morning exercise classes! 7 months later and I actually look forward to both her, Kathleen’s and Emma’s classes although sometimes it still feels like a matter of survival.
Overall I reached my goal in 4 months, losing 18kilos and many dress sizes. I now love walking into a shop knowing there will be something that will fit me. I have a lot more energy to keep up with the family and full time work commitments and I feel a lot fitter and stronger in myself and love starting my day with a trip to the gym.
I can’t avoid that looming 50 but it’s not looking so bad anymore

My first incentive to lose weight was a Beagle puppy which was promised to me when I reached goal weight. My mum took me to Weight Watchers and I became a lifetime member at age 13! I was quite sporty and kept my weight off during my teens, but regained it into my 20’s. I became the classic yo-yo dieter… Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Lite’n’Easy & even the Cabbage diet were all useful tools in this. My incentives then included being bridesmaid several times and o’seas trips, but inevitably the event would pass & I would regain some, or all, or more weight than ever.
Recently a major incentive to lose weight was the $800 loading that was added to my Income Protection Insurance because I was obese. That was it. I was finally going to beat this and improve my health status! Deep down I don’t think I really ever thought it was possible but I was determined! However I had been just as determined so many times before. I started by buying the Wii-fit system and really found it a useful tool when I eventually had the nerve to first record my weight on it. Yes, it also told me I was obese! I initially lost some weight with Lite’n’Easy but needed more help I as I knew I couldn’t do it alone.
I had driven past Healthy Inspirations practically every night on the way home but it wasn’t till a friend of Mum’s put a 7 day trial card in the letterbox and talked of her success that I had the courage to walk in the door. I remember saying that my goal was that I just wanted to be and feel normal. After a shaky first few weeks of feeling headachy & really wondering what I had signed up for (just ask Kathleen!) I began to really achieve weight loss and didn’t look back. I kept it very simple. Mountain bread became my friend at lunch as I had toasties most days as well as a great supply of veggie soup c/o of my Mum. The one-on-one support at weigh-ins and the regular circuit (sometimes I could only manage twice a week) were working and I found that I didn’t have the cravings I normally would at night because I had cut out the carbs. An early morning hour walk once a week before work with a friend was really beneficial too. At one point I had lost 21kgs in 21 weeks. A record for me!!... and I won the Biggest Loser competition of which I am very proud. I have now gone on to lose 30kgs…. and kept it off for 3 months! My nieces now call me Aunty Skinny!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT HEALTHY INSPIRATIONS! And this includes fellow members that inspire also! Some nights I really had to drag myself in but I always left pleased that I had made the effort. The setup was so helpful to me and conducive to my weight loss. The eating plan certainly worked for me!
There is definitely no way I would have achieved my goal if it wasn’t for all the help I received from Healthy Inspirations. And I achieved my goal despite a year that for me that was full of many stresses and lows that would normally trigger major binge eating and weight gain. My Dad died earlier this year after a difficult time & I am so pleased he got to see me at my goal. Despite his dementia he still knew me & was proud!
don’t like sharing this fact because I am not proud of it but if it helps to inspire someone else I am willing to share. In my work skirt I was briefly, a size 22! But - I can now brag that I can fit the size 10 in the same skirt. Who would have thought!!!! I don’t have to explain how that feels!! Mind you the whole process has been rather overwhelming! When a colleague at work let me try on a size 10 for the first time a few months ago I just burst into tears when it fitted and I don’t usually cry at work!
I can laugh now because I no longer have to pay excess on my insurance as I am now in the NORMAL healthy range, but then I prefer the Wii fit range which makes me IDEAL!
I now have an incentive to live life …………………………… and perhaps get a new puppy!

I have lost 9kg since January 18th, and I am now enjoying the Balance program. I am a mother of two boys a twelve year old and a two year old, plus three step children all teenagers. This keeps me pretty busy and reasonably high stress levels as well.
Over the past few years I have had a gradual weight gain, bad habits picking at the kids food etc., I tried other types of weight loss, e.g. pre-packaged food, lost a few kilos, but gained it all back as soon as I went back to normal life.
Turning 39 last November, I decided that was it, I was not going to turn 40 and keep getting bigger. I was ready to change my life! That’s when I saw the ad for Healthy Inspirations. My friend and I decided to start the journey together and that has been wonderful and kept us both on track. We are both turning 40 this November and intend to look fabulous for our joint party.
I hadn’t even realised how unhappy I was until I began losing the weight. I became aware that I didn’t even feel comfortable to change in front of my husband. I had started buying clothes to disguise my weight gain. I saw a new found confidence in myself, and was able to go out shopping and couldn’t believe it when I had to try the size 8 on, that hasn’t happened since I was 16.
The girls at Healthy Inspirations are amazing, so supportive. I think the realisation that cheating in any way was only cheating myself had a big influence on my success. The biggest challenge was changing my lifestyle and giving up alcohol. When I started to see results the benefits far outweighed anything I had to go without.
I now exercise 6-7 days per week, I have started running, and love it. I am building up to the 12km City to Bay Run in September – can’t wait!
Thank you so much to all the girls at Healthy Inspirations, being at my goal weight I am confident, fit, enjoying my family and loving my life. Can’t wait to turn 40, bring it on!!!

"I began putting on weight when I was in Year 7. I had always been an active kid but I broke my ankle in Year 7 and this meant that I couldn’t participate in any sports for a couple of months. I began eating more and this eventually resulted in me putting on lots of weight. All throughout high school I was bigger than my friends, which made me embarrassed and very self-conscious.
I moved to the Adelaide Hills early last year and working in the city, meant that I was always driving past Healthy Inspirations, thinking to myself that one day I will go in there and sign up. It took a couple of months of driving past everyday, always telling myself I would change, to finally go into the centre one afternoon and ask about signing up. I was met my Kathleen who immediately had such enthusiasm that I sensed that she genuinely wanted to help me out. I signed up then and there and from that day, I have been a changed person. I believe something in my head clicked that day and from that moment, I have wanted to change the person I used to be, to the person I am becoming now.
It has been around 6 months since I joined Healthy Inspirations and I have lost 30 kilos. This was my original goal but I have since increased that goal to 35 kilos and with the help of all of the girls from Healthy Inspirations, who are nothing but inspiring and caring, I believe I can keep on track with the plan.
There are always temptations and struggles through everyday life but the difference this time is that I am enjoying what I am eating on the plan. If I do have a day where I eat something I’m not supposed to, or if I drink a bit to much alcohol, I know that I need to work that little bit harder at the gym or go for an extra walk. The difference this time is that I am enjoying exercising in different forms and it doesn’t feel like a thing I have to do but something I want to do.
The achievement of losing 30 kilos is beyond what I could have imagined and has changed my life amazingly. I have restored confidence in myself; I believe in myself and am taking on new challenges. It has made me realise that I am young and that my life is precious and should not be wasted by being unhappy and overweight.
I have all this because of the girls at Healthy Inspiration and their guidance. It is exactly what I needed to be so successful. THANK YOU!!!"

"Four months ago I decided that it was time to, “do something about my weight”, which had been gradually increasing each and every year, just a little bit more - so many temptations, food, wine & no discipline.
It wasn’t hard to decide where to go, as my daughter Kylie has had much success with Healthy Inspirations and I could see first hand what a difference it’s made to her.
I’ve never joined a gym before and the thought of doing so was scary, but once I walked through the door at Frewville, I was made to feel welcome by the staff and other members and was immediately put at ease.
My goal initially, was to lose 13 kilos, which I am pleased to say started to come off immediately with the Healthy Quick Start. I thought I was in piggy heaven. I’d never before eaten so much to lose weight. In fact, this has been my biggest hurdle to overcome – three meals and two snacks each and every day. But I’ve done it. I lost the 13 kilos and then re-set my goal and lost another 5.7 kilos, averaging approximately a 1 kilo loss per week – 19 weeks in all so far, and 20.3 kilos lost.
Shopping for clothes has become a joy again. There’s nothing like trying on clothes several sizes smaller, and looking good in them.
I’m sleeping better and feel more alive. I’ve regained my energy and zest for life, I feel so empowered by my success.
The breakdown of Healthy Serving Choices has been an eye opener. It has shown me what a healthy ‘serving size’ looks like. I’ve found the Daily Journal invaluable and such an easy way to keep track of the different food groups which need to be included for a healthy eating plan. The mix of the ‘nutrition plan’ and exercise at Healthy Inspirations is simple and straight forward, easy to follow AND IT WORKS.
PS: My update for March is even better; my total loss now is 21 kilos. My goal now is maintaining this weight, and I have a generous leeway and a huge desire to do so. I even look forward to doing my workouts and never thought I would get to that point!"

Jen had tried everything before coming to Healthy Inspirations....just look at her now!

"Despite loving my role as a stay-at-home Mum, my outward appearance didn’t match how I felt, and I longed to get into some of my pre-children clothes again, which were gathering dust in the cupboard.
I’d tried other programmes after my first and then second child, but didn’t feel they offered enough support.
One day, I saw an acquaintance that I hadn’t seen in some time and remarked at how much weight she had lost. She told me about Healthy Inspirations, and that afternoon I decided that I needed to take control, make my weight an equal first with the needs of my family, and so I made an appointment. I was met by the inspirational Emma, and so began my weight loss and healthy lifestyle journey!
I’ve loved the fact that I can turn up to the gym in the morning with “bed hair” and no one gives a hoot! The girls have challenged me to new levels of fitness, and I can now keep up with my three boys without collapsing in a heap at the end of the day. I have much more energy and no health issues related to poor eating (I used to get headaches from the amount of sugar I was eating!).
I have had so many comments from family and friends (even the greengrocer and chemist!), and LOVE the feeling of being back in my “slim” clothes. I can only thank the team at Healthy Inspirations (again and again!) for helping me to “look” how I “feel”!
