2001 - The first Healthy Inspirations opens

The first Health Inspirations was opened in 2001 at Kenmore Queensland. This remains a company-owned (franchisor-owned) centre. The unique aspect of the business was that it was designed to deliver lasting weight loss for women with a combination of healthy diet, high-frequency face-to-face diet coaching and supervised exercise... all under one roof, in a comfortable women's only centre. The medical literature around the world is now supporting this combination approach as being the best way for effective lasting weight control.

To ensure that every aspect of the program was at the cutting edge of dietary science, weight loss knowledge and promoted good health, Jamie and Ellen assembled a team of three of Australia 's leading weight loss dietitians, Jill MacGregor, Matt O'Neill and Trudy Williams to oversee the program in Australia.

Our task is to work with you to see if Healthy Inspirations is right for you and if you are right for Healthy Inspirations. This is a process of mutual discovery. We want to provide you with all the information to make a good decision about the business.

Once you make that decision we have a huge range of support services and processes to help you start your business properly and to increase your chances of success.

The business does take some hard work, especially in the first year. We look for people with local knowledge and connections, and the willingness to get outside and promote their business to the local community. The other thing we look for are people who are passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and helping others achieve this as well.

We're very community minded. We care about preventive health and especially preventing childhood inactivity and obesity. If you share some of these passions, and you are keen to work hard to create your own successful business, we look forward to working with you.

We often get asked by the male partner "What are the roles for a male within this business that services women?" The answer is simple as it depends upon where your talents and energies lie. If your have a flair for marketing, most of that happens outside the four walls of the centre. If you're a numbers guy, then somebody has to look after the accounts, banking and payroll. If your good with your hands, you can help in building the centre and keeping the centre and the equipment in ship shape order.

This business is a partnership of energies, between the franchisees, their team and us.

Please make a list of questions. We have prepared some questions for you as sometimes people simply don't know what to ask.

I look forward to meeting you on the phone, by email and in person. Call us anytime on 07 3177 0842.
